WHAT WE DO

We pool resources (particularly financial resources, but also time, energy, talents, skills, capacities, and networks) and collectively invest in the education and mentorship of needy children and young people drawn from diverse backgrounds in Kenya. We pay their school fees and mentor them through their schooling years, shepherding them through their challenging life circumstances, to be the best they can be as we disciple them to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

How we do it

We are structured into three core units of Education, Mentorship, and Partnership/Resource mobilization.

1. Education

The Education Unit facilitates the recruitment /onboarding of potential beneficiaries into Ahava guided by the criteria and process articulated in the Policy Document as well as the availability of financial resources. This includes mandatory home visits to ascertain/confirm the needs of the potential beneficiaries.

2. Mentorship

The Mentorship Unit links the enrolled beneficiaries with partners in Ahava who walk with them individually through social, academic, spiritual, health, and career/vocation matters. Joint mentorship processes are periodically conducted, focusing on relevant issues for inspiration and support to the beneficiaries. Annual parent/guardians meetings are held as part of the mentorship process.

3. Partnerships and Resource Mobilization
