Joy is the third born in a family of three siblings. Her other two siblings are alumni of Ahava having supported through their secondary school and are both in the University. Her mother has been in Lang’ata women’s prison until the year 2019 when she was released but has since not adjusted well to life outside the bars. Joy is taken care of by her grandmother who strives to ensure their daily needs are met. Her other siblings also do part-time jobs to cater for their expenses as well as support the family even in the smallest way they can.
Joy is a very confident and courageous girl with a promising and bright future. She was admitted to Karugwa Girls Secondary School where Ahava is paying her school fees
Her annual school fees is approximately Kshs.45,000
